    I've been there a few times, they HAD kind and friendly staff who were more than willing to help. The library was clean, recently renovated. It was a great place with a great manager and staff!

    If you really want to get depressed, stop in at Vilna library. Someone will be shouting racist garbage, without a doubt, at the top of their voice, as the library manager treats the library like her own personal coffee-gossip club. She is a manager, not a real librarian, she has no training in library science, and seems, quite probably, functionally illiterate. Mention titles like "War and Peace, The Catcher in the Rye, or The little prince" and get a blank stare. Totally unacceptable level of incompetence, small town bully tactics, incompetence and stupidity. You'll love it. Or not.
